Google Checkout is launched in the uk. With free transaction prices untill 2008, and a low rate of 1.5% + 15p, this could give the well astablished PayPal a run for its money.

Another insentive to utilise Googles different services is that for every £1 spent on Adwords you get £10 worth of transactions free of charge, making it worth using both services if you need to.

JPD Training Ltd enters eCommerce

Filed under: Web Design, World Wide Web — Ian Hulme @ 4:23 pm

With over 500 courses nationwide, JPD Training Ltd’s website was time consuming to update, and when problems accured they were manualy changed, this has all changed!

Using a mySQL database to hold all the course details, and specially designed pages to produce the specific courses (also stating where sold out) depending on which page the user is viewing. All this is integrated into a bespoke shopping cart facility where the user can then decide on whether to pay through an invoice or securely pay using their credit or debit card via PayPal. All this is easily maintained using specially created querries in JPD’s current database to extract the relevant information needed.

Click here to view the listings and cart facilities, DO REMEMBER THIS IS A LIVE SITE, so do not make bookings unless you want them.

If you live in Cheshire, your have probably heard of the Baggin Man and his trips around the Cheshire Countryside.

A newspaper columnist, The Baggin Man has now published two short books – The Baggin Man Visits Vale Royal and The Baggin Man takes the Train.

Each book features superb watercolours of the area painted by Cheshire Life artist, Gordon Wilkinson and local heritage artist Bernice Barrett Brown.

And the story does not stop there. You can visit the Cheshire Best Kept Station Competition, another Baggin project. Here you can visit every railway station in Cheshire. Even check out the time of the next train!

The site demonstrates the power of internet marketing without considerable expense.
