How long do you wait?

Filed under: General — Ian Hulme @ 3:51 pm

As with all things, the price goes down on electronics.
The question is, “How long do you wait until you make that purchase?”.

Most online shops have eshots that go out each week/month telling its customers about the special deals, new releases and must buys they have. You can actually see the prices going down on items that are regularly on the e-shot, for example dabs.com sell a value 4GB USB pen drive which was £38.29 ex VAT, then 4 days later it was £34.03 ex VAT.

You Tube! Advertising on the cheap!

Filed under: General — Ian Hulme @ 10:59 pm

As many people know, You Tube is a site where anyone can upload their home videos, googles, animation and so on.

I have heard of many things getting on there, including viral marketing (you see it, send it to someone else and so on).

But today i came across something that actually made me think “I WANT THAT”. What was it you might ask? It was a blender.

There was a company that made industrial blenders. The CEO was trying to think of new ways to test the blenders they made. That gave another employee an idea “video the tests and put them on You Tube.”

Electricity goes Wireless?

Filed under: General — Ian Hulme @ 2:58 pm

While audio and data transmissions through the air have become normal in recent years, we still need to carry around cables to recharge our portable devices. New research now indicates that even power may go wireless soon.

Everyone knows how easy it is to forget to charge your phone, laptop, i-Pod, etc (as i sit here typing, my phone is actually dead), makes for a very useful thing, so long as it doesn’t electricute everyone in the room on errors.
