Stock Photography and the Work Place

A lot of businesses produce their own website content, usually through the use of an online web log (blog), where they can post articles and news. One company I visited today had a bit of a dilemma, along with their blog, they also send atricles into a magazine to publish. They had used some images from a online image library on the blog, their subscription had finished, and they couldn’t find the original to send to print.
The deadline for the photo is 5.00pm today, so as you can imagine they are under a little bit of pressure to produce the images, and not being able to get in touch with the person that ok’s purchases they were short on ideas.
I suggested that they could either re-subscribe to the stock library (£89), use a fotolia (around £1 per photo, link on right) or I could find what they need and photograph on the spot.
10 minutes later and a bit of quick thinking I had photographed the above to print inline with an article about chemicals, the photo is actually of a coffee pot filled with weak orange juice, and the colour changed to make it look a little more chemically.
